The Background of the Network

The Network was first proposed by the Children's Fund in 2004. The first network meetings were hosted by LifeLine, the initial aim being to collect information about parenting providers, in order to celebrate the work that is being done among parents in London and beyond.
 
Timeline
Autumn 2004:  The network proposed and terms and conditions outlined.
Dec 2004: 

First meeting of the ParentLink network in Dagenham.

Feb 2005: 

Project Officer appointed.

25 Nov 2005: 

Launch Conference:
"Making a Difference to Parents & Families".

Jan 2007: First ParentLink meeting in Hackney.
 Feb 2007: First UK wide Parenting Partnership conference.
Autumn 2007: ParentLink commissioned to carry out an audit of Parenting Services in Barking and Dagenham. Presented to the Children's Trust, November 2007.
Mar 2008: ParentLink host Advanced Solution Focused training with Eileen Murphy Consultants.
